Partisan Way is a blend of classic and contemporary pop. Singer-songwriter Dan Tierney combines layered vocals with sumptuous harmonies in a timeless melodic pop sound.
Partisan Way released their debut album 'Show Don’t Tell' in 2021, followed by the EPs, 'Glass Reflections' (2022) and 'Unreason' (2023), and the short album 'Hot Takes / Cold Cuts' (2024). In 2025, they released an album of stripped-back piano versions of Elliott Smith songs, called 'Peace Of Mind (Covers On An Upright Piano)'.
The Partisan Way sound is a fusion of indie-pop, bedroom pop, synth pop, acoustic singer-songwriter and piano pop. The songs have been compared to Elliott Smith, Ben Folds, Neil Hannon (The Divine Comedy) and Neil Finn (Crowded House), with a solid grounding in the songwriting craft and harmonic language of The Beatles, Billy Joel and Nick Drake.
