Pascal writes tonal music. He like Zacharie de Vitré, Drelincourt and La Céppède Because they wrote very long poem sequences on biblical and passion themes. He also like a sequence of sonnets on Psalm 51 written by a lady Anne Locke called the "Meditation of a penitent sinner". Sometimes he sets poems to music. Sometimes he writes the text.
Pascal enjoys playing the ukulele. It is like a lyre to the poet. You can have it where you want, and it carries your song. It's practical. He also enjoys writing music on the piano or on the guitar.
Pascal likes folk music, as in music from the traditional roots of a culture. He enjoys the albums published under the Folkways label, because they are thought through collections of songs representative of cultures.
