Pashy is an LA based band composed of long-time friends Jason Cerf, Emma Spivack and Jono Wachter. In mid May, the group started experimenting with song ideas together, and decided to pursue the creation of a tangible project. The band released their airy, nostalgic debut single “The Coast” in October 2020. Their second release, “From Here” is heavily inspired by the seemingly magic quality in The Beach Boys’ “Pet Sounds” album and the song drops a piece of this into the modern indie music scene.
Jason and Emma are the main vocalists of the group, and have each been the feature on one release (Jason on “From Here” and Emma on “The Coast).
Jono Wachter is the primary songwriter and producer for the project, and the band records at his home studio in LA.
They find inspiration from multiple genres; Paul Simon, Elliot Smith - some of their biggest contemporary inspirations are Phoebe Bridgers and Omar Apollo.
Pashy is putting out an EP that will include “The Coast” and “From Here” in the spring of 2021.
