Pat Kenny is a dedicated and introspective songwriter, familiar with the art of storytelling. The former Australian Army officer turned songwriter, walks a sonic tightrope between Roots, Alt Country, and pop-tinged Folk.
Since 2019, Pat has been one of the creative forces behind Folk duo, <a href="spotify:artist:2kX9CiUl1AAvmXGU3lFHDZ" data-name="Freight Train Foxes">Freight Train Foxes</a>. The band’s string of successes includes multiple songwriting awards, an accumulation of over 3 million streams, and performances at iconic festivals such as BIGSOUND, Woodford Folk Festival, and AmericanaFest in Nashville, Tennessee.
After moving back to regional QLD and honing his home production skills, Pat has teamed up with one of the Fraser Coast’s most promising young songwriters, Emma Newman to release their first single together, ‘Chemicals’. The catchy folk track is about brain chemistry and the way we see the world. Whether it’s from alcohol or the chemical balances that naturally occur within our brains – it all shapes our
perceptions.
