Pat Knox

When he was 19, Pat started to act on his love for lyrics by writing verses and rapping them around his friends. One of them had already been making beats on his own for a while, and once they put two together, it was on. After graduating college with a B.A. in Music Production, Pat eventually landed his dream job and mentorship working for David Paich, the founder of Toto. His grandfather was an engineer for the band for many years and won a Grammy with them in 1982. Pat believes working to keep his grandfathers’ legacy alive while pursuing his own path as an artist is his greatest blessing. Pat's songs are based upon his life experiences and relationships dealing with depression and substance abuse. He created them based off personal experience as the lyrical foundation, combined with intricate production that he does himself. He cross pollinates his Hip-Hop, R&B, Rock, and Electronic influences to form a fresh style that features lyricism and musicality. He creates a vibe that sits in the pocket of mainstream music, while jumping out tactically to keep the genre evolving and resonate with today's generation.
