Pathetic Waltz

Late October 2011, on a trip home from <a href="spotify:track:6t10feXsknHlQazNVWPj2v" data-name="Metropolutan">Metropolutan</a>, in an economy class <a href="spotify:track:7ACxUo21jtTHzy7ZEV56vU" data-name="Crazy Train">Crazy Train</a> carriage, an idea emerged from the bachelors, Andi Getta Prayudha, Julius Didit Setyawan, and Alta Karka.

They chatted lightly amidst the stifling heat, the noisy train engine, and the tiredness of the street vendors&#39; chatter. They wanted to express in their melodies the elements of life, filled with silliness, arguments, small talk, sadness, and the alienation of pink. Thus, the name &#39;Pathetic Waltz&#39; was adopted from a song by <a href="spotify:artist:0rewGqZI1o6eLWEgWo4Hyn" data-name="Pure Saturday">Pure Saturday</a>.

Simple fears and raw skill became the path to a space where they could express the colorful shades of the world on a pop canvas. In 2012, Pathetic Waltz released their first acoustic single, &#34;<a href="spotify:track:6UIInvwMXRC6yxA94ehvjl" data-name="Waiting Room - Acoustic">Waiting Room - Acoustic</a>,&#34; followed by &#34;<a href="spotify:album:0iFUrq5WkubyVTnI3m0Uv1" data-name="She Like Pretty Owl">She Like Pretty Owl</a>,&#34; as the beginning of their journey. Then it evolved into a group entity with dirty and floating distortions, occasionally venting its anger.

<a href="spotify:artist:1QvdlvDJGfk1LzJn25kYEY" data-name="Pathetic Waltz">Pathetic Waltz</a> released their debut album, &#34;<a href="spotify:album:5l114bzpMEvpLAjU62ySmN" data-name="Self Titled">Self Titled</a>,&#34; in 2015, with the hit single &#34;<a href="spotify:album:0qPf0fhnmrIEWSXLeXtV8a" data-name="Malam">Malam</a>&#34; and the following year&#39;s single &#34;<a href="spotify:album:71Xnf8wssQDuD7FnP6LK3I" data-name="Berdiri Menantang">Berdiri Menantang</a>.&#34;

In 2025, they released the single &#34;<a href="spotify:album:0669mDhkXKBCFr1mnFhTha" data-name="Laut (Pulang)">Laut (Pulang)</a>&#34; as their comeback from hiatus. In July, they launched &#34;<a href="spotify:album:5Aq2GgJ45xxWbfAz8Lf8Hh" data-name="Pelita">Pelita</a>&#34;.
