Patrick Foord is an artist and producer from the Blue Mountains, Australia. His musical journey began at the age of five when he purchased his first cassette tape, Michael Jackson’s Thriller, which ignited a lifelong passion for music. He started learning piano at nine, and by the age of 11, he picked up drumming, which opened new creative doors. As a teenager, Patrick played drums in local musicals and high school bands.
During this time, Patrick also developed a strong interest in music production and mixing, which would become central to his career. The release of Green Day’s American Idiot in 2004 was a pivotal moment, inspiring him to explore how to create that same level of excitement and craftsmanship in his own work. He drew influence from legendary producers such as Mutt Lange, Quincy Jones and engineers like Bruce Swedien, Chris Lord-Alge.
In July 2024, Patrick released his debut original music, a three-track EP titled Happy Songs for Sad People. Since then, he has continued to release a new song every month, performing, producing, and mixing every track himself while occasionally employing session bass players for certain songs. A turning point came in May 2022 when he bought an upright piano on Facebook Marketplace. The experience reignited his passion for singing and songwriting, providing the creative spark he needed to release his own music.
