Patti Corduroy

Welcome to the wonderful world of Patti Corduroy, the twisted brainchild of musicians Robin Mullarkey and Emma Smith, launching soon with their first release ‘Never Before’, hinting at progressive 80s pop, but drawing on soul and garage production. The duo are real life friends and survivors of London’s brutal session scene and have been playing together on the world stage for years. Having toured and recorded with artists such as Sia, Laura Mvula, Jacob Collier, Zero7, Goldie, Seal and Jessie Ware (to name a few), they have the credentials and the experience that make them world-class musicians, yet their new band, ‘Patti Corduroy’, has a sense of humour and a magical spark that can only be created by two people really loving what they are doing. You may hear the influence of Prince/ Craig David/ SBTRKT/ Disclosure, as ‘Patti Corduroy’ aligns musically with stand-out, unique artists of today such as Hiatus Kayote, Nao,  and Little Dragon.

Patti began to take shape during some time off from busy touring schedules a few years ago, Robin played Emma some instrumental music he was working on, and she instantly found inspiration for melodies over the eccentric and unusual beats.

Their first single ‘Never Before’ encapsulates this fun, rebellious and colourful character. This is the first track of their upcoming debut Ep ‘Run and Jump’.
