Paul began writing/recording solo material and released his first EP in 2010 before following it up with his debut album "Carry The Torch" in 2012. The album earned critical praise with the It’saxxxxthing blog voting it as their album of the year. Paul was invited to perform on BBC’s Rapal music TV series alongside other up and coming Scottish artists.
After spells as guitarist/vocalist with Brown Bear & The Bandits and Freelance Liars - extensively touring the UK for several years - Paul couldn’t help but feeling drawn back into his solo work.
Stand alone single “Little Flame” was released in 2019 with Podcart describing it as “A welcome comeback” and marked a return to live solo performances supporting friends and fellow Scots Yakima.
With the release of his new album “La Maleta” in July 2020 Paul has drawn influence from Bowie and Iggy Pop’s Berlin era with dark and brooding soundscapes replacing the acoustic stylings of his earlier releases.
