Paul Meredith lived in China for three decades, teaching music and performing extensively throughout China. Fine fingerstyle guitar patterns accent his many topical songs, accompanied often with his banjo, mandolin, bass, harmonica, and djembe. A Michigan native, Paul and his Chinese band, Nomads, toured Michigan and Ohio in 2014. With Nomads and the folk trio Mountain High, he has performed at numerous festivals, as well as the Beijing National Center for Performing Arts and the Shanghai Concert Hall. He has written 150 songs sharing about his time in China and Hong Kong, with insights also from his prior career as a UN and NGO relief worker. Paul has recorded and produced dozens of CDs and demos for artists in America and China, and loves to talk about songwriting and the power of music to unite us. Currently living in Michigan, Paul enjoys sharing positive ideas about China and our world through music with audiences of all ages.
