Paul O'brien

December 2021 marked the beginning of Surrey-based Singer-Songwriter Paul O&#39;Brien&#39;s solo career, releasing his debut single: <a href="spotify:track:6raHoqHLhenTKNDgurR5BZ" data-name="Hey Ho Ho (It&#39;s Christmas)">Hey Ho Ho (It&#39;s Christmas)</a>. Beginning his song-writing journey for fun with a couple of friends 30 years ago, he admits “it’s the best therapy I know”.

Being the youngest of four children, Paul was exposed to a variety of musical genres, from the eccentric <a href="spotify:artist:3PhoLpVuITZKcymswpck5b" data-name="Elton John">Elton John</a> and other 80s pop icons to <a href="spotify:artist:1dfeR4HaWDbWqFHLkxsg1d" data-name="Queen">Queen</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2Hkut4rAAyrQxRdof7FVJq" data-name="Rush">Rush</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:0ECwFtbIWEVNwjlrfc6xoL" data-name="Eagles">Eagles</a>. He cannot remember the first ever song he learned the lyrics to, but the diversity of his siblings’ tastes hooked him, and he’s been involved in music ever since.

During the last 30 years, he has busked and played in various venues around the world, from the top hotels in the Cape Verde islands to bars and beaches in Spain. In 1999, Paul earned his first publishing deal writing for other artists with Palan Publishing.

21 years later, <a href="spotify:artist:5oSg8FVUE9o18dwVFplKE9" data-name="Paul O&#39;brien">Paul O&#39;brien</a> is back writing for himself with new music on the horizon. His Latest effort &#39;Anywhere You Go&#39; highlights 60&#39;s vibes with positive catchy melodies to send you into the sunset with a smile!
