Working predominantly with performance poetry and film, Paul Word has been able to contribute his take on themes regarding faith, loss, and masculinity through his ongoing practice. Paul Word, who was born in 1993 in Lagos, takes influences from the Holy Spirit. Mostly known for his works "Conversation With My Therapist" and "Oriona," merging film and poetry, Paul Word has occupied a number of physical spaces, including the Ake Book & Arts Festival and the Lagos International Poetry Festival, leading to him achieving various awards in and out of Nigeria
