DJ in his early days, then gradually creating a producer's touch, Etienne Bel inaugurated the discography of his Pavel project in 2016, with the release of a track on Czech label Neo Violence. Numerous others followed, notably on Eclect Rec., Sbire, Creaked Records and finally on Blizzard Audio Club, the stable the artist co-founded and in which he now centralizes all his new releases.
His debut album "Busy Being Broken" (2019) was named "Best Swiss electronic music album of 2019" by national radio SRF3 (program "CH Beats").
Etienne Bel - who is also behind the Estelle Zamme project - expresses ultra-personal, emotional and quite dramatic music through his alias Pavel. A particular kind of electronica, made of metallic squeaks, airy synthesizers, frantic rhythms and a good touch of acidity.
In 2024, Pavel returns with "Environment", his second album. Release date: May 3, 2024.
