“Dittocrush” does not belong to this earth. Everything about this track suggests that it was born and now resides somewhere in the stratosphere. Clouds as their front porch this combination of lap-steel, harp, reverb-heavy guitar and a plodding 808 bass line keep the composition fully of the sky, ever-ascending and sunlit. A lone cloud floating above the rich red Utah desert.
If “Dittocrush” belongs to the sky, then “G. Again and Again” is fully a terrestrial creature. Part of a longer 15 minute composition, the track begins with a subtle but swinging beat that opens on tension filled guitars, uneasy tonal passages and piano ringing into the reverb-pregnant darkness before revealing a stunning, cinematic vista of golden hued synths – recalling the forward drive of Vangelis with the airy, spaciousness of Harold Budd. Definitely some exciting stuff coming out of Salt Lake City. - Ryan Hall, Tome To The Weather Machine
