With its members hailing from various states across the Southern region and converging in Boston, Massachusetts, Payphone Confession introduces their music in a unique yet powerful way. While combining elements of Hardcore, Metalcore, Nu-Metal, and Thrash, they place extreme focus on creating music that is deliberately gutting and cathartic.
Payphone Confession’s debut single, Bash Your Head, released in February of 2024. This Punk-influenced track gained recognition for being intense, lyrically compelling, and raw. Hate You Breathe, their second single, was released almost one year later, and largely takes influence from Metalcore and Thrash- showcasing a heavier sound. Their debut EP, “Something Unforgivable,” predominantly highlights the after-effects of losing a loved one.
The backbone of Payphone Confession’s relentless sound is drummer Nathan Grissett, supported by bassist Joss Lubenstein and guitarist Nick Samples, and driving this cohesive unit with harsh and clean vocals is frontwoman Evelyn Brock.
