Pearl Gates

Washington Heights, New York bred rapper Pearl Gates is a fresh face on the Hip Hop scene but no stranger to blessing industry insiders and fans with quality music.

Gates released his first mixtape “A Star In A Broken Sky” in 2014 and immediately began to strengthen his grassroots movement. This led to opportunities touring with Masta Ace, Wordsworth, Boldy James and PRhyme (Royce da 5'9 and DJ Premier). Gates appeared as guest feature on albums of Masta Ace, Masta Ace & Marco Polo, eMC and Kool G Rap.

“Live From The First” (2017) is Gates's debut album which is a sonic evolutionary process, chronicling his journey from the streets to the rap game. The album includes notable features by Cassidy, Torae and Geechi Suede of Camp Lo. Before his debut album, he released a couple EPs titled “Diamond Mind” (2015) and “Play This” (2016) with NY rapper Syll. His latest collaboration album “Champions Sounds” with well-known emcee Wordsworth was released in May this year which includes features by Kool G Rap, Talib Kweli and Masta Ace to mention a few.

In the last few years Pearl Gates has been making notable music and appearances. His music was praised by media outlets including The Source, HipHopDX, Revolt TV, 2DopeBoyz, Mass Appeal and also from DJs/radio shows including DJ Premier, Drake’s OVO Sound Radio, DJ Eclipse and Statik Selektah.
