Pedro's Basement is an indie rock group from Sherwood, Oregon, who have developed their sound through playing gigs and shows in the Portland area. Starting off with gigs at grad parties and events, where they would essentially jam in the background with an audience, now moving to real shows at bars and clubs with other artists like Superplume and Jet Black Pearl.
With instant classics like "Dumpster Board" and "Priceless" they are making a name for themselves in a changing and unforgiving industry. They can contribute their unique sound to a very hands on, natural, analogue creative process using old equipment with tubes and transistors to give it a more lively feel.
Producer Finn Decker says "There's just something about having real equipment and recording into old preamps and compressors, or summing the drums on a mixer, it's a more live experience than just diving through menus in a DAW. The same goes for our beliefs about recording, we do it live and then you have the recording you have and there is no faking. You can't polish a turd with that digital quantization junk."
Their new single for their sophomore album "Cold Water" has grown their audience even further, and lead singer and the band claims that the music will "keep on coming", and they are looking to drop even more music very soon.
"Thanks for rocking with us. Ciao,"
