We are thrilled to announce our return to music post hiatus under the new name Peevie. This name change wasn't an easy decision however it felt like the correct time to proceed with a rebrand and will finally eliminate any "Are you a Stevie Wonder cover band?" confusion with folk. It also coincides well with the new era of the band, with a thirst for live performance and a lot of new music.
Our aim to bring laughs and good times through our songs will remain absolutely unaltered. The main advancement is a boost in devotion, both sonically and personnel wise, to create raw and loud geordie rock music.
Our first release back is titled "Worm Food" which can only be described as 2 minutes of thumping uproar and commotion. The lyrics were penned as Mark started to reach the ripe age of 30 and for the first time ever started to question his mortality and the "what ifs" and different beliefs that are involved when thinking about death and the afterlife - humans turning into "Worm Food" being one of them. This release will be the first of 4 which will make up the Debut EP to be released later in the year.
