Peggi Blu won the top female vocalist award on the TV show Star Search in 1986, resulting in a contract with <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Capitol+Records%22">Capitol Records</a> and two R&B singles chart entries, "Tender Moments" and "All the Way with You," in 1987. Years later, she became a vocal coach on the TV series American Idol, and was named Vocal Coach of the Year at the 2013 Malibu Music Awards.
