Peggy is a Milwaukee native but spent her formative years in Arizona. Southern gospel quartets, country western, rock and pop music drift through her early memories fusing a sound that is uniquely Peggy James. Her melodies and lyrics are easy to identify with. Her voice is pure and solid with an edge that communicates the good times, the hard times, blaming no one, finding new love - but always moving on. Her song writing skills have matured over time reflecting both a sensibility and honesty that is straight from the heart. She puts just enough of a country spin on her folk/rock to satisfy fans of both genres. Her thoughtful, personal songs take some surprising turns of phrase. You will enjoy her elegant alto voice and refreshing approach to storytelling in lyrical imagery and emotive melodies. Peggy has three albums out and her fourth album - Nothing In Between - will be released in April, 2018.
