Pelican Dock is the moniker of Houston-based musician and producer, Michael English. He discovered his love for guitar at the young age of nine when he saw Michael J. Fox perform Chuck Berry’s hit song “Johnny B. Goode” in the movie Back to the Future. Along his musical journey he also developed an interest in various other instruments including synthesizers and saxophone. Heavily inspired by the sounds of the 80’s, Pelican Dock aspires to immerse listeners in melodic sounds spanning a range of genres including Synth-Pop, Chillwave and elements of Jazz.
His debut single (“Treetop”) was released February 19, 2021, followed by his second single (“Into the Night”) May 21, 2021. His latest work consists of an original track (“Cascading”) followed by an early 2000s cover of the hit song “White Flag” by Dido.
