Pelkė

Grupės „Pelkė“ istorija prasidėjo 1999 m., kai du VU Ekonomikos fakulteto studentai įsirengė repeticijų studiją viršutiniame fakulteto aukšte Saulėtekyje. Tuo parodydami, kad Lietuvoje roką gali groti ne tik VGTU inžinieriai/architektai, bet ir ekonomistai. Grupė nekoncertuoja nuo 2003 metų, tačiau iki šiol užsiima kūrybine veikla ir turi sukaupusi nemažą bagažą dainų.
Kodėl pelkė?
Pavadinimas „Pelkė“ buvo pasirinktas neatsitiktinai, nes pelkės simbolika yra svarbi grupės nariams. Pelkė yra sunkiai prieinama, slepianti ypatingą, žmogaus nepaliestą gamtą, retus paukščius ir augalus. Pelkės vaizdinys tarsi nukelia laiku - šimtus tūkstančių metų atgal. Pelkės mūsų protėviams padėjo apsiginti nuo priešų ir išsaugoti Tėvynę mums!

About „Pelkė“ (Eng. „The Swamp“)
The history of the band “Pelkė” began in 1999 when two students at Vilnius University set up a rehearsal studio on the upper floor of the Economics Faculty, dispelling the myth that Lithuanian Rock could only be played by architects and engineers. However, since 2003 the band has not been performing live, but whilst the waters of the swamp appeared still, beneath the surface creativity was bubbling away. From the mists of the swamp „Pelkė“ has drawn inspiration for a host of new songs, some of which appear here for the first time and will draw you into the waters of the timeless swamp and the songs of the Swamp birds will float once more on the Baltic winds.
