Spanish vocalist Pepe Benavente is perhaps most well known for hosting his own weekly television show, ¡Quiero Ser Como Pepe!, on Televisión Canaria. Though his popularity extends somewhat to the mainland, it's primarily confined to the Canary Islands, where he resides in the Spanish archipelago's capital city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. His albums include Canta Mexico (2005) and 636 Horas con Mi Gente (2007), the latter of which features the full-length version of his television show's popular theme song, "Quiero Ser Como Pepe." ~ Jason Birchmeier
