For each track, Perla chose the vocal artist that most resonated with the protagonist at key moments in the story. It’s a unique collaborative construct where distinct female vocalists sing as part of a cohesive collection of songs.
The first single release was “Twilight Sleep”, a beautiful lullaby swirling with dreamy synthesizer textures, meditative acoustic guitar melodic patterns, & vocals that are sensually emotive. The music’s ethereal quality is a powerful counterpoint to the raw feelings expressed by the lyrics.
The second release was Speak Up, a song of compassion for oneself in the wake of a controlling relationship.
Perla’s third release was Set Like the Sun which celebrates the beautiful moments at the end of a relationship.
