Pete Klimek was labeled ‘refugee’ in Vienna as he was dragged away by the apron strings of his parents from the bullet-riddled streets of Kafka’s Prague to settle like dust in South Africa… a far cry indeed from the Bohemian cafes where poetry readings and street symphonies were as common as daily bread.
Pete picked up his first guitar at the age of 7and has not put it down since. His life became that of an endless series of audience auditions as he commuted between the stage and the page of a new song.“We’ll see the purpose in everything – only when we accept and respect each living thing.” (© Pete Klimek)
