I joined my first band in 8th grade, The Marauders. We played surf music. My best friend asked me to join though I didn't know how to play guitar. After school I went over to his house and he taught me chords and progressions. After one week I played my first gig. That was over 50 years ago.
I’ve been in lots of bands since. Most all of them played some original music. I played rock & blues from the 60s to the 80s. Then I joined a Welsh folk band. In the 2000s I joined Crookshank, a Euro folk band. Their album can be streamed here.
A lot of my music just doesn’t fit a genre. “Singer Songwriter” is a sufficiently ambiguous description for my songs. The more songs I release, the more that will prove true. I have a few songs ready to go, the only hold up is I want to promote them better than my previous releases. 8 monthly listeners is a bit short of my 325,000/month goal (that would provide about $3000/mo income).
