Peter Hordiichuk

Peter Hordiichuk is a Ukrainian composer, producer, and performer working in the genres of dark new age, future garage, and deep house. His music blends mysticism and melancholy with a search for inner freedom — a sound that resonates from the heart of Eastern Europe and reaches into dreamlike realms.

Born in the small town of Murovani Kurylivtsi in the Vinnytsia region, Peter began his musical journey with piano studies at the local music school. Though formal training lasted only two years, it planted a seed that would grow silently for decades. After moving to the city of Vinnytsia and graduating as a Master of Architecture and Construction, he became known as the founder and captain of the student KVN comedy team “Budmo,” which won the Ukrainian student championship. Years later, he attempted to revive that creative spirit in a new format — the musical project “Budmo Team.” However, life’s constant relocations and the natural aging of the original members made the project short-lived.

Only one song from that era reached national airwaves: “Vsykh trymaye v obiimakh misto Vinnytsia” ("The City of Vinnytsia Holds Everyone in Its Embrace"), for which Peter wrote both lyrics and music.

Now, in his fifties, Peter Hordiichuk returns to music as a deeply personal pursuit — not chasing trends, but building emotional soundscapes from memory, silence, and hope. His recent works merge slow rhythms with ambient melancholy. https://focusmusic.fun
