Combining the twang of western guitars with infectious 60’s rhythms, Peter James (of One Atom 12, Spectralux, and The Phantom Electric) invites listeners to witness the moment when a cowboy riding blind through the dessert finally rips off the bandanna and takes stock. The resulting songs are a 360-degree view of the journey. A look back reveals old school organs ushering in driving beats and boot-Stompin’ tall tales, while the kicked up dust settles on a mellow Americana sound. Each song is filled with the darkness that shaped us and the unrelenting optimism that hope held high can bring. The result is an honest account of what’s left when the mirage lifts; a personal promise to be the inner light, even if a match has yet to be found.
