Singer/songwriter Peter Stuart first came to attention as part of <a href="spotify:artist:0ymKv4fh2eBhPT9HLTu8yH">Dog's Eye View</a>, though he left that band after its second album, 1997's Daisy. After he went solo, he opened for acts such as <a href="spotify:artist:0vEsuISMWAKNctLlUAhSZC">Counting Crows</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6eoJpTIlcuxJNjV5fDzDJH">Live</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:08DLZqQd6XDAVteF9nSEJ1">Paula Cole</a>, and wrote material for <a href="spotify:artist:58lV9VcRSjABbAbfWS6skp">Bon Jovi</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:2mG8HHQ9S9kcbjcrb5N1FE">the Go-Go's</a>. His 2002 solo debut, Propeller, was produced by Andrew Williams, who also worked with <a href="spotify:artist:771bZ8ZHkvOqkI7baL68X3">Peter Case</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:27AzFtMZhRN78bAMPntbpF">Old 97's</a>. Actually completed in early 2001, he sold several thousand copies of it while touring before striking a deal with Vanguard, which issued it in mid-2002. ~ Richie Unterberger, Rovi
