Peter Winnipeg is the vehicle for wandering melancholy songs by Berlin based musician Paul Tisch.
Throughout the natural births and decays of various bands over the years (Opa Yeti, Puzzle Quest, Accountants), two full length Peter Winnipeg records emerged (A Moment of Garcia in 2016 and Big Death in 2019) as well as a compilation of previously released material (Ego Shreds, 2019).
His third album, Blood Moon was released February 10th 2022. Taking a turn from the sound of his previous releases, Blood Moon leaves the acoustic, rainy woodland inspiration of Marissa Nadler and Jessica Pratt, and wanders forth into the nighttime dreaminess of acts like Women, Protomartyr, and Roy Montgomery.
Winnipeg's music has garnered praise from the likes of SMALL ALBUMS, Crossfader Magazine, and Smile Politely.
Born in Chicago, he moved to Berlin, Germany in 2022 where he currently resides.
