Petra Ahlmark is a Stockholm-based jazz vocalist and guitarist working mainly within Brazilian bossa nova. Shaped by formative years in Spain, her music centers on voice and guitar, with roots in Spanish and Brazilian musical traditions. Alongside performing and recording, she teaches jazz at university level. She moves within the intimate voice-and-guitar tradition associated with João Gilberto, with a focus on clarity, phrasing, and an honest, emotionally direct expression.
