Peyton Morete is a 22 year old all the way from Pōneke, Aotearoa but now based in Tāmaki Makaurau. Her soul and passion is creating, performing and releasing music for everyone to connect with etc. She basically lives and breathes music. She began writing music at the age of 9, her first song being a cute pop song called 'Winner Loser'. However, as the years have past, Peyton has revised and changed her sound many times, always trying new genres to learn new techniques and styles she might like. All of these little genre/style trials are helping Peyton grow into her own unique sound.
Although she's from a small country that is very hard to become successful in, she doesn't let that stop her and continues to push forward doing new things in the music industry. She is an example that age doesn't define somebodies talents or success in the music scene. She always continues to expand her knowledge and audience. Her latest journey is interning at Crescendo recording studio in sound engineering and has come away with a new skill set in mixing, mastering and post production. She wants to show that other wāhine and Māori can thrive in tāne dominated industries (while looking good doing it).
