Phantom Hound

Phantom Hound is a doomy, heavy, psych trio from Oakland, Ca. Our debut record “Mountain Pass” was self-released March 28, 2020, via Devil Blues Records. While promoting the record during the pandemic they started working on new material towards their sophomore effort. During that time lead guitarist and vocalist Jake Navarra joined High Tone Son of a Bitch on lead guitars for the live recording of “Live at the Hallowed Halls” in Nov 2020 with underground metal veterans Paul Kott (Kalas), Russ Kent (Noothgrush), Billy Anderson (Melvins, Sleep), Rob Wrong (Witch Mountain), & Matt Pike (Sleep, High on Fire) Which was later released by Ripple Music.

In 2021 the band seized the first opportunity to hit the road and tour “Mountain Pass” on a pacific north west run with Three Towers and again in 2022 with Bay Area sludge veterans HTSOB for a southwest run pushing Mountain Pass alongside the newly released Live at the Hallowed Halls featuring Jake Navarra.

Over the last few years the band has supported Hippie Death Cult, Spirit Mother, Robots of the Ancient World, Serial Hawk, 16, Disastroid, Holy Grove, High Tone Son of a Bitch, Kadabra, Greenbeard, & Belzebong.

In spring of 2024 they signed with Glory or Death records for the release of their sophomore effort “From Boom Town To Ghost Town” due to drop September 18th, 2024.
