Phillie grew up on the westside of Detroit, in a rough area known as the infamous 'number streets'. It was here where Phillie was molded and would grow into his number streets hustler persona. While working the corners and blocks in his square, Phillie was handed a card from Wu Tang magnet Bronze Nazareth. After skillfully spitting bar after bar over several beats Nazareth played. Phillie began recording with the Wisemen and Black Day. In 2013 Phillie's classic "Welcome to the Detroit Zoo" was released to critical acclaim.
