Phiorio

Phiorio’s real name is Gianpiero Fiorin. He started being interested in music in the late 80's where he discovered post-punk, new wave, gothic and industrial. Through being a fan of these musical genres he then developed an interest in electronic music, weird and bleepy electronica at first and then techno and house music.
It was when he moved to London in the late 90's that Gianpiero discovered club life by making regular trips down legendary clubs and events such as The End, fabric, Lost and many more. Through those experiences Phiorio got hooked fairly quickly to the world of djing and partying.
The London techno free party scene gave him the opportunity to practice the skills of disk jockeying and soon after the door was open for more gigs in various clubs around the UK capital and around Europe.
The creation of the label Metroline Limited, Phiorio's brainchild together with his partner in crime Octad, was the logical progression in Phiorio's career in the club scene. Some of his early works saw the light of day on the label with further releases coming shortly after on labels such as Leftroom Limited, MBF, Fantastic Friends and more.
Phiorio is still an avid record collector and enjoys playing techno and house music plus everything else in the music spectrum that he consider exciting, forward- thinking and a bit weird.
