PHRASE. is a modern rock band from Gouda, the Netherlands, consisting of singer Anniek de Wit, bassist Raymond Plat, drummer Korè Mara Verkaik and guitarists Gina ter Haar and Milan van Engelen.
The band evolved from an initiative designed to connect young band-seeking musicians. PHRASE. started off playing mostly covers but soon began writing their own songs. The first off-stage appearance of one of their songs was on Valentines Day, 2020, when a video clip of 'Fly Away' aired on YouTube. PHRASE.'s first official release 'Louder' went live on January 22nd, 2021, followed by the re-release of 'Fly Away' exactly a year after its initial reveal.
After a long hiatus, in which the band focussed on live shows and writing new material, a new single was released on June 14th 2024, called 'Let's Drive Baby', promoting of their first upcoming EP release.
