It was Summer, 2010, Vilnius, Lithuania, when a young music student Lina responded to a vocalist/guitarist wanted position in a thrash metal band State of Ruin. With excitement to express the newly found love for old-school thrash, a young and aspiring band set out to revive the style in their own way - in a fresh, musical and sincere fashion.
All was going well until tragedy struck in Summer 2011 - two members Gedas and Lukas were killed in a car accident traveling the UK.
Although doubt and depression almost took over the love for music, Lina and Jonas decided to continue. Phrenetix was born.
And so the journey began. With disapproval for the new wave of thrash metal's extreme and generic nature, the band set out to bring back musicality and authenticity to the unappreciated, but potentially a truly universal style.
