A piano on stage, soulful melodies, a former choir member as a bandleader - and then hard rock music? Anyone who has ever heard and experienced PianoProject live will never let go of the synthesis of this music.
In April 2010 Paul Knüpfer founded the band PianoProject and together with Franz Böhme, Florian Simon, Felix Zöllner and Claus Straßner began to search for their own sound in intensive rehearsals.
Soon the desire arose for an EP of their own, which PianoProject presented with Welcome World at the end of 2011. PianoProject starts to develop a fresh and authentic sound, which you can enjoy - and simply have to "rock along". The first music video for the title Alone was released in April 2012 just in time.
On 28.11.2014 PianoProjects will release their debut double album "Elegy of Desperate Children" with a big 2,5h release concert in front of 150 loyal fans. Guest musicians are Dietrich Zöllner (ex-Das Blaue Einhorn) on violin and former pianist Claus Straßner. It is also the last concert with Felix on bass, who is now concentrating fully on his sound/music production studies in Frankfurt.
At the turn of the year PianoProject are nominated for the Sound-of-Dresden, win the following online voting in the category Rock/Pop and thus a slot in the live finale in the Groovestation (DD). Franz' brother Carl takes over the job of the bass player from then on.
2019 "Elegy of Desperate Children" will be digitally re-released and can now be streamed across all platforms.
