Pierre Bauzerand (b. August 18, 1985, France) is a pianist and composer whose music bridges classic and contemporary jazz. Beginning piano at age eight, he was admitted just four years later to Marciac’s prestigious jazz school, later graduating from the Toulouse conservatory. Along the way, he refined his artistry through masterclasses and jam sessions with legends such as Wynton Marsalis, Oscar Peterson, Monty Alexander, Roy Hargrove, and more.
After nearly a decade performing across Toulouse’s jazz scene, Pierre embarked on a three-year journey through Brazil, Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia, New York, London, and Cape Verde, immersing himself in global musical traditions that continue to shape his voice.
Now based in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, Pierre performs widely at clubs and festivals across Europe, including the London Jazz Festival, Palma Jazz Festival, and Jazz in Marciac. His latest project features a quintet with Shayan Fathi (drums), Toni Cuenca (bass), Pepe Ragonese (trumpet), and Iscle Datzira (saxophones). Together, they bring Pierre’s original compositions to life: story-driven melodies with a rich acoustic sound, blending tradition and modernity. Their debut album introduces listeners to a textured, inviting musical universe that resonates beyond genres.
