Piksel (aka Ieva Vaiti) is a Lithuanian producer, currently based in London, UK. Ieva’s musical journey has taken her from studying violin classically in Lithuania and later in the UK. During high school years, Ieva took influence from London’s electronic underground scene and started making her own music, using every day sounds, as well as any instruments she could get her hands on.
Since her move to electronics, Ieva has released 2 EPs and performs regularly in the UK and Europe under her pseudonym Piksel. However she also has a strong interest in media work - which has taken her from scoring for film (such as the most recent release by The Times - Unsaid) through to running and co-directing a multimedia collective - Syntrex.
Her interests lie in exploring the everyday sounds and transforming them into musical elements. Expect heavy, textured beats, swarming violin harmonies and airy synths.
