Pine Grove

Pine Grove is the original musical alias of New Hampshire based DJ and electronic music producer Carter Hammond. A graduate from SMFA Boston in 2011 where he spent several years producing dance music, hip hop, and performing as a DJ before relocating to New Hampshire and joining Los Angeles based net label Senzu Collective in 2013. He began releasing as well as curating compilations and assisting with management. Working closely with artists like <a href="spotify:artist:4j0Py0UlkChw77ZJ5PWw82" data-name="abracadanny">abracadanny</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5HjQVFQPSXvFyis7hs7U3z" data-name="Shango">Shango</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6RSeezU1HMufy7b8swygvR" data-name="Scott Xylo">Scott Xylo</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5Buoz3P1IPb0haHhfTJZeK" data-name="slwkng">slwkng</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7jVDK1c07OPIgEYZQvoQ03" data-name="Elyphant">Elyphant</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7k2z3LAoSOR4JHvcN7ik1c" data-name="Mistress Fannypack">Mistress Fannypack</a> and many more, he would strive to cultivate an organic and emotive sound with deep roots in ambient and hip hop as Pine Grove. Later he developed alternate aliases to accommodate an expanding sonic style, most notably his concept projects <a href="spotify:artist:4xKNiLFjNyRtzXopwMkXGW" data-name="Larry Folger">Larry Folger</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:6UpZ976BklAhhBDDw500lu" data-name="クリムゾン介錯">クリムゾン介錯</a> / <a href="spotify:artist:2OS175AOUvY1LH4EkVy1VT" data-name="Crimson Kaishaku">Crimson Kaishaku</a>. In 2015 Hammond founded <a href="spotify:playlist:6RG1j13aJBthJobGizP4Q9" data-name="SHUT_INS REC.">SHUT_INS REC.</a>, an online based music label specializing in alternative and experimental electronic music.
