PiNKSLiPS are an alternative rock band based in Belfast.
Formed amidst the musical drought of the pandemic, songwriter Gerry Norman began working
with guitarist David McGaughey on a collection of rock songs in the bowels of Vault Artist
Studios. Those songs took on a life of their own with the addition of the ‘Deadly Rhythm’ of
Shane Watters on drums and Carl Gilmore on bass early 2021,
With a focus on high energy, riff based guitars, rhythmic groove and anthemic choruses, the
band’s shared love of live music, heavy rock, and energetic performance soon set about shaping
their own rock sound.
After a year of mishap, incident & personal setbacks PiNKSLiPS finally came out from the
shadows, making their live debut at Vault Artists Summer Festival in August 2022.
In January 2023 they brought their music to the world on BBC Radio Ulster, with a live session
on The Eve Blair Show, and followed this up with a headline show at the Look North! Festival,
and an Old Crows gig at the famed Oh Yeah Music Centre.
The band capped off the summer with a blistering performance at Stendhal Festival, and
recorded what will be their first two singles at The Badlands.
PiNKSLiPS’ first single ‘Young Blood’ is OUT NOW, and the band are currently
planning a run of gigs in early 2024.
