Pio Hartnett is an alternative singer-songwriter from Clifden, Ireland.
In 2018 he moved to Dublin, and studied music at BIMM Dublin. He teamed up with Dublin producer Zak Higgins in 2021, writing prolifically, and gaining writing credits from Mexico to British Columbia, and even all the way to Japan.
On his birthday, on the 14th January 2022, he released ‘Roses’. The single received support and acclaim from Irish outlets such as Golden Plec and Hot Press, and radio play on over 20 radio stations. This was followed by singles 'Grand Prix' in April, ‘Broadway' in July, and ‘Will you be back before dark?’ in February 2023; each receiving growing praise and airplay. After being selected to perform at the Winterfest for Guinness Storehouse, he would go on to earn a reputation as an explosive live act, garnering packed performances across Dublin (IE) at The Grand Social, Button Factory, and Whelan’s, and support slots for Pete Murray, Gavin Fox, Teenage Dads and Joshua Hyslop.
His debut EP, 'Cargo', was officially launched at The Workman’s Club (Main Room), Dublin, in a sold out show on 18 April 2023. He was recently named one of legendary Irish music venue Whelan’s ‘Ones to Watch’ for 2025.
