Pip Fluteman, Berlin based Manchester born singer-songwriter is ten years into his minds adventure, harnessing the spirit of all the greats who’s posters were blue tacked onto his wall as a teenager.
Those ten years have five albums and three EPs to show for. Seventy songs pointing off in folk, indie and rock ’n’ roll directions.
Since landing in Berlin, the city in which he became a father, his lyrical angle tilted from melancholic surrealism towards anthemic uplifting poinency, something that staying in one place amongst a community cultivated.
During the previous decade he played in twenty something countries, where stories were made and friends were found, a time he refrences back to in his songs, keeping the spirit of that time alive.
Now without a social media presense, he is focusing on what matters, his love for writing, singing, exploring what his guitar can do and connecting with people who resonate with it all.
Pip has a sixth up and coming album, songs which are notes to himself, a mix of self critisism, humility, accountability, appreciation and optimism. The songs are designed to remind him of what can guide him through the obstacles of adult life in the modern world. The album is set for a December 10th release, his traditional annual release date.
With a new fire and less choppy waters, Pip is ready to get back to what he was always best at.
