Piper Rose Mann is a composer and singer based in Los Angeles, California. Her voice has been featured in film and television projects for Netflix and Dreamworks, recently appearing in Illumination's Sing 2, the Disney+ film Better Nate Than Ever, ABC’s A Million Little Things, and the theme for CBS’ new comedy DMV. She was an intern for composer John Powell during post-production of Disney’s Wicked, and in 2022/23 she was a fellow in the Los Angeles Philharmonic Composer Fellowship Program. She recently received an Honorable Mention from the American Prize for her original choir piece, E Tenebris, as well as for the ASCAP Foundation Morton Gould Young Composer Awards for her saxophone quartet, Euthermia. This past summer she produced “New Machine,” her a cappella group’s (Extreme Measures, for which she is Music Director) new EP, and she also just completed her first original score for a feature-length film, Hello, Goodbye. In 2021 she was commissioned to create a new arrangement of “Ahavat Olam” for the Angel City Chorale, the song she co-wrote with her father, Gabriel Mann, made famous by Ben Platt and his brothers, Jonah and Henry. She is currently studying composition and technology at Northwestern University with Alex Mincek, and has previously studied under Jessie Montgomery, Dr. Jay Alan Yim, Ania Vu, Chris Mercer, Andrew Norman, and Sarah Gibson. In her spare time, she’s an avid Lego-builder, baker, traveler, and shoe collector.
