Born and raised in Cavite (Philippines), Jean Matthew Capati otherwise known as Pisces.MN was heavily influenced by his hip-hop culture-rich hometown. He started writing songs with his guitar at around 2014. With his heart set in R&B, artists like Dijon and J. Cole shaped him. By 2019, his peers convinced him to try out rapping for a change and it revived his love for hip-hop, joining the rap group TUE$DAY GVNG and performing in underground spots such as “Ingay Likha”. By 2021, he tried his luck as a solo act. He then went to a recording session with his artist friend JC Torio and his soon to be producer David Daliva to learn the quirks. A month later, he recorded and finished his first track “Drunk” with said producer. Armed and ready with the knowledge he gained all these years, and with the backing of his new label Baybayin Records, he released “Drunk” in 2022 and the single went on to be featured in various Spotify playlists, such as “Pinas Vibes” and “OPM Rising”!
