Influenced by the likes of karnivool, porcupine tree and cog, platypus are ready to inject some more progressive rock into the Perth music scene. Several years of songwriting and honing their craft have culminated in a collection of songs that are uniquely platypus. Characterised by abstract lyrics, heavy guitar riffs, acoustic breaks, and polyrhythms galore, platypus have already begun to turn the ears of the Perth music scene. 2025 is looking to be a big year for the band, with 2 singles produced by Jon Stockman ready to launch with more exciting releases to come.
