Plonki is the brand-new solo project of Pleun Stork, a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter
who has showcased her diverse musical palette in bands like Captain Scarlet, FUZZY TEETH and THAMES. With an authentic vibe and a tight band, Pleun now shines a spotlight on her own sonic universe.
Inspired by artists like Radiohead, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and Big Thief, plonki crafts a unique blend of raw, distorted guitars, delicate vocal melodies, and intricate time signatures, all backed by irresistibly groovy rhythms.
These contrasts are also reflected in Pleun’s lyrics, where moments of joy feel tangible, yet the shadows of recurring patterns are always lurking. Through her music, Pleun delves deeper into the layers of emotions and experiences, inviting listeners to explore beyond the surface.
