Emerging with a desire to break away from the norm and create a new exciting sound, Pluviam was formed in February 2018 by singer James Riley and drummer Mike Tabone, with the duo later being joined by Tom Boddison on guitar and Calvert Stephens on bass. The band worked together in the initial stages to test and experiment with the extremities of sound, creating new musical textures that compliment a vast expanse of influences, which range from Indie-Pop to Metal to Modern Experimental Music.
The band sold out The Sunflower Lounge on June 27th to celebrate the release of their debut single, "Searching". Labelled by Guava Mag as, "Stripped back and soulful, Searching is a sweet symphony of self-discovery", the track takes many contrasting influences and melts them into a serene journey with brash and zestful undertones.
After the success of their debut release, the band now turn their focus to their national Tour, taking place in late November. Make sure you don’t miss it!
