P.O.C.

P.O.C. are a blues rock/stoner metal outfit formed in south Galway, Ireland by drummer and vocalist Declan Cairney and guitarist Jakub Kopras. While the pair had been playing acoustic and electric blues sets at open mics around Galway throughout 2017, they began to lean towards a more heavy sound after discovering the ferocious Galway hardcore scene. They began gigging regularly in Galway and Limerick in 2018 as a two piece, bringing together their blues and punk influences into a fuzzed-out, sludgy, west-coast brand of heavy music.

The two piece became three when bass player Darren Fitzsimons joined they're ranks in late 2019, however an impromptu two-year hiatus followed due to a certain virus of obscure origin wreaking havoc across the globe.

The band released their debut single on September 8th 2022, followed by their first E.P. on October 30th, recorded in Devils Sound Studio, Galway. Produced by Piotr Michalik of Psychotic Outsider fame.
